Ved å kombinere Python med Django, https://www.djangoproject.com/ kan man lage Python / Django drevne websteder.
The current production versions are Python 2.7.2 and Python 3.2.2.
Start with one of these versions for learning Python or if you want the most stability; they're both considered stable production releases.
If you don't know which version to use, start with Python 2.7; more existing third party software is compatible with Python 2 than Python 3 right now.
Fra ovennevnte Django site klipper vi:
Being a Python Web framework, Django requires Python. It works with any Python version from 2.4 to 2.7 (due to backwards incompatibilities in Python 3.0, Django does not currently work with Python 3.0; see the Django FAQ for more information on supported Python versions and the 3.0 transition), but we recommend installing Python 2.5 or later. If you do so, you won’t need to set up a database just yet: Python 2.5 or later includes a lightweight database called SQLite.
Django 1.4 beta 1 released
As part of the Django 1.4 release process, tonight we've released Django 1.4 beta 1, a preview/testing package that gives a little taste of some of the new features coming in Django 1.4. As with all alpha and beta packages, this is not for production use, but if you'd like to try out some of the new goodies coming in 1.4, or if you'd like to pitch in and help us fix bugs before the final 1.4 release (due in March), feel free to grab a copy and give it a spin.
Derfor anbefaler vi å kombinere Django med Python 2.7.
